How To Use The GHD Duet Blowdry
The first step is to ensure your hair is towel dried and tangle free before using the GHD Duet Blowdry 2-in-1 hair dryer brush.
Then apply a small amount of GHD Volume Forever Volumizing Blow Dry Cream throughout your hair. This is a lightweight conditioning blow dry cream that maximises the volume of your blow dry for 24 hours. It also ensures superior brush glide through your hair for smooth and tangle free styling.
This volumising product also contains a heat protectant. I always apply a heat protectant whenever I use a heat styling tool no matter how low the temperature of the tool is.
Turn on the Duet Blowdry by sliding the power button upwards. It takes a few seconds for the fan to ramp up and heat to the optimal low styling temperature for wet hair. The styler lets you know when it is ready to use by the light stopping flashing and the tool beeping.
You then loosely dry your hair with the Duet Blowdry by simply brushing through large sections of your hair from underneath and repeating this until your hair is mostly dry.
Divide your hair into sections as wide as the barrel of the Duet Blowdry. Place underneath the section and hold for 3 seconds. Lift the hair tool up and away from the head at a slow and steady pace, allowing hair to glide through the bristles and repeat until dry.
For added shape, continue to roll and glide the Duet Blowdry at the ends of your hair.
GHD Duet Blowdry Review
I love that the GHD Duet Blowdry both dries and styles my hair, and I love the results I can achieve with it. It is such an impressive hair tool. My hair has become thinner as I’ve become older and the GHD Duet Blowdry 2-in-1 Hair Dryer Brush helps me achieve some much needed extra body and bounce in my hair.
I find the Duet Blowdry easy to hold and use, although it is slightly heavier than my regular hair dryers and hair stylers. When I weighed the Duet Blowdry, the body of it (not including the cord) weighed approximately 565g.
The on/off control is simple to slide up and down and I appreciate the visual light and auditory feedback when the device is ready to use.
The 2.7m long cord is a great length especially if your power point is a little bit removed from where you want to dry and style your hair.
I appreciated the lower sound levels of this hair tool. It is so nice being able to converse with my partner without yelling while I am drying and styling my hair.
The low 120 degree celsius temperature of the Duet Blowdry ensures my hair does not experience any heat damage. My hair felt beautifully silky soft after using this hair tool.
The bristles glided smoothly through my hair and I never experience any pulling, grabbing or snags.
The automatic sleep mode safety feature included in the design of the GHD Duet Blowdry gives me great peace of mind, eliminating the worry of whether or not I turned off the styler before I raced out the door after styling my hair.
The heat resistant bag is a useful inclusion as it enables the Duet Blowdry to be packed up immediately after use without having to wait until it has fully cooled down. I found this especially beneficial when I travelled with this hair tool.
Overall I am super impressed with the GHD Duet Blowdry for achieving long lasting voluminous bouncy hair from wet to styled hair without the use of unnecessarily excessive heat.
Using the Duet Blowdry instead of both my regular hair dryer and a separate brush also significantly sped up my hair drying and styling routine in the morning. Any tool that saves me time in the mornings is a definite winner in my eyes.
If you are looking to purchase a hair dryer and a hair styler or are wanting the ability to create salon quality blow dry hairstyles at home I definitely recommend purchasing the GHD Duet Blowdry. It is relatively expensive but for the quality of results you can achieve with it I think it is worth the cost.
