Nutrimetics are celebrating 50 years of beauty this year!
And I was lucky enough to be invited to their media event at The Star.

A lot of readers and friends ask me what goes on at media events so I thought I’d share with you a behind the scenes post of the Nutrimetics 50th Anniversary media event.
This media event started with time for mingling and taking photos at the photo wall.
Having Fun At The Nutrimetics 50th Anniversary Photo Wall

Events always have the most delicious food exquisitely presented, and this Nutrimetics event was no exception.
There were tasty antipasto and fruit platters and the special Nutrimetics 50th Anniversary mini chocolate caramel tarts tasted so rich and decadent!
Also, how amazing does the gold leaf on top of these mini lemon meringue tarts look!
Let me tell you these tarts tasted every bit as good as they looked!

We were then honoured to hear Nutrimetics founder and entrepreneur Mrs Imelda Roche speak about the beginnings of Nutrimetics.
What an absolutely amazing woman!
Mrs Imelda Roche
Mr and Mrs Bill Roche were the founders of Nutrimetics in Australia 50 years ago and right from the start their company was a trail blazer and different from other companies.
Nutrimetics aimed to create female empowerment. It provided women with an opportunity to contribute to the financial well-being of their families and start a business in the days where there were not too many job opportunities for women let alone business opportunities.
Nutrimetics was also the world leader in using effective natural ingredients prior to other companies following their lead.
The Nutrimetics founders discovered Apricot Kernel Oil, the secret of the ancient Hunza tribe in the Himalayas. In spite of extreme weather this tribe enjoyed wonderous health, longevity and remarkably youthful complexions.
Thus Nutrimetics’ first product, Nutri-Rich Oil, was born and became an overnight sensation.
The photo below is of the original Nutri-Rich Oil in it’s original packaging. This wouldn’t look out of place in stores today.

Nutri-Rich Oil remains largely unchanged to this day. You can read my article about 50 Uses for Nutrimetics Nutri Rich Oil HERE.

The event concluded with a group photo of all the media in attendance with Mr and Mrs Bill Roche and the spectacular Nutrimetics 50th Anniversary cake.

Sounds like such a fun event, and what a generous goodie bag to take home! 🙂 Did you get a slice of the giant jar-cake? I bet it was delicious! 🙂
Hope you had a great weekend. The heatwave continued here unfortunately, so it was another fairly quiet and aircon filled weekend for us!
Away From The Blue Blog
Oh, that does look fun! I'm not sure if I thought Nutrimetics was older or younger than that. Perhaps younger. I don't recall hearing about it until the 1990s or so…. my mum buys some nutrimetics from a friend and I wear the moisturiser to bed. #teamlovinlife
I was EA to the CEO of Nutrimetics for three years before my baby was born! That was when they were part of Sara Lee Direct Selling division.
Looks like a fun event!
