GHD Chronos Max Review
I find the GHD Chronos Max comfortable to hold and easy to use thanks to its ergonomic design and wishbone hinge. I appreciate that the on/off switch is located on the inside and thus there is no way I could accidentally turn the hair straightener off while using it.
The styling time using this hair straightener is definitely faster for me than using my previous GHD hair straightener thanks to only requiring one pass over each section of my hair, and the wider plates straightening more hair in that one pass. As I have a tendency to sleep in, any tool that saves me time in the mornings is a definite winner in my eyes.
Due to straightening my hair most days I also love knowing that the GHD Chronos Max hair straightener is not causing any extreme heat damage to my hair thanks to its cutting edge HD motion-responsive technology that’s designed to maintain the optimum styling temperature of 185 degrees Celsius.
The barrel of the GHD Chronos Max has a curved design which makes curling and waving hair easier, however I’ve been using this styler predominantly to straighten my hair.
Another feature of this hair straightener that I find reassuring is the automatic sleep mode where the GHD Chronos Max will switch off automatically after 10 minutes of inactivity, providing added safety and energy efficiency. I no longer have to worry whether or not I turned my hair straightener off after rushing out the door.
I’ve been impressed with the results that I’ve been able to achieve with the GHD Chronos Max. The close-edge plates on the GHD Chronos Max enable me to straighten my hair closer than ever to my roots resulting in a visibly better root-to-tips result.
The ultra gloss coating on the plates ensures this hair straightener glides smoothly along my hair and achieves an ultimate pressed finish which aligns the hair cuticle to sit perfectly flat from root to tip thus enhancing the light reflection and delivering a beautiful shine to my hair.
I love the long lasting straight, sleek, shiny hairstyle I can easily and quickly achieve with this hair styler.
If you are looking to buy a new hair straightener I highly recommend the GHD Chronos Max. The only downside in my opinion is its price but for the high quality of results you can achieve with the Chronos Max, in a much faster time, especially if you have long, thick or curly hair, together with the reassurance that it won’t cause any extreme heat damage to your hair, it is well worth the cost in my opinion.
I have found my GHD hair tools to be long lasting and very durable. I haven’t had any that have broken or stopped working as efficiently, it’s more that I’ve chosen to upgrade to a newer model such as this Chronos Max. GHD report that their hair tools undergo two years of simulated user testing, including being dropped 35,000 times and the hinge opened and closed 110,000 times, proving they are long-lasting hair straighteners. So if you think about the price in terms of cost per use over the life of the hair straightener they are actually extremely good value.
